Inspiring Future Scientists

Twelve students spent the summer engaging in research at the Anschutz Medical Campus. As part of the CU Department of Medicine’s Research and Equity in Academic Medicine (DREAM) program, these emerging second-year medical students had the opportunity to work with mentors at CU Anschutz to conduct exciting research initiatives over the course of 10 weeks.

The DREAM Program aims to build the pipeline of physician-scientists and increase underrepresented populations within the research enterprise. This program may inspire just a handful these students to become physician-scientists, but every student will learn valuable skills to use in their career no matter their trajectory.
